What we collect
We do not run user accounts and we never collect or store payment details. What we do collect is: standard analytics data (pages viewed, approximate location, device and browser type), anything you submit through our contact form (name, email address, message), and, if you choose to join our mailing list, your email address.
Lawful basis and consent
We rely on your consent for the contact form and mailing list, and on our legitimate interest in understanding site usage for analytics, which you can withdraw at any time through the cookie controls described in our cookie policy.
Affiliate click tracking
Some links on this site are affiliate links. When you click one, the receiving operator’s affiliate platform typically receives a referral code, the page you clicked from, and a timestamp — never your name, email or payment information from us, because we don’t hold that information to pass on.
Retention
Contact form messages are kept for up to 24 months for record-keeping, mailing list addresses are kept until you unsubscribe, and analytics data is retained according to our analytics provider’s standard retention window, typically 14–26 months.
Third-party processors
We use a third-party analytics provider, a hosting provider, and an email delivery service to run this site; each acts as a processor under contract and does not use your data for its own purposes.
International transfer
Some of our service providers process data outside Canada. Where that happens, we require contractual safeguards consistent with PIPEDA’s requirements for transfers to third parties.
Your rights
Under PIPEDA and, for Quebec residents, Law 25, you can request access to the personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, and withdraw your consent to any processing based on consent. To make a request, email [email protected]. If you are unsatisfied with our response, you can complain to the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada, or Quebec’s Commission d’accès à l’information for Quebec residents.
Anti-spam (CASL)
Our mailing list only ever contacts people who gave express consent to join, and every message includes a working unsubscribe link, in line with Canada’s Anti-Spam Legislation.
Children’s data
This is a site about legal-age gambling (19+ in most provinces, 18+ in Alberta, Manitoba and Quebec). We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under the applicable legal age.
